Pineda Tacos Plus 2 (Or 3?) – No Matter the Name, the Tacos Speak Loud and Clear

Taco fans know that sometimes the best spots are the ones with just a slightly confusing name. Whether it’s Pineda Tacos Plus 2, or listed as Pineda Tacos 3 on Apple Maps, one thing is certain: they’re dishing out some seriously top-shelf tacos.

When lunchtime hit, the place quickly packed with folks who clearly knew where to go for reliable, flavorful Mexican food. I jumped in with a trio of street tacos — steak, carnitas, and chipotle chicken.

Let’s start with the carnitas: juicy, moist, and packed with deep pork flavor. You could tell they didn’t rush these — they were done right. The steak taco? Honestly, it was so good I forgot to take a picture — and that tells you everything. Seasoned perfectly, tender, and grilled just enough for a satisfying bite. The chipotle chicken was well-cooked with bold smoky flavor, but a bit out of my personal flavor lane. Still, I’d bet others would be into it.

Now the real unexpected highlight — the tortillas. I can’t confirm if they’re made in-house, but they tasted fresh enough to be. Soft but strong, with a deep maize flavor that ranks in my top 5 tortillas of all time. When a tortilla stands out that much, you know you're somewhere special.

At 3 tacos for about $12, the value here is undeniable. Quality ingredients, quick service, and generous portions? No wonder the place fills up fast. I’ll definitely be back — next round I’m going double steak and double carnitas. For sure next time more pictures.
